Instructional Workshop on Applied Mathematics

The Department of Mathematics announces an Instructional Workshop on Applied Mathematics during May 6-10, 2013 that aims to bring together the researchers studying the following topics

• Numerical Analysis, Differential Equations, Mathematical Modeling, Stochastic Modeling
• Cryptography
• Graph Theory
• Fractal Geometry
• Coding Theory
• Applied Algebra
• Dynamical Systems

The academic programme will consist of

• series of instructional lectures by eminent mathematicians and scientists in the above identified topics
• invited talks to acquaint the participants in the recent development in the area
• contributory talks / paper presentations by the participants, if they wish so

Since all those register cannot be accommodated, a selection of participants will be made. Preference will be given to the participants from SAARC nations.

There is no registration fee. All the outstation selected participants will be provided free lodging (on twin share basis) and boarding. Due to paucity of funds, participants should arrange the travel expenses of their own. However, partial support towards travel may be considered in special cases depending upon the availability of funds with the organizers.
